We had a BBQ at the house and decided to serve kebabs. Never making them before, I of course turned to my helpful Google machine (seriously, what did we ever do before Google?? 🤪)
This marinade recipe said since it wasn't being used to tenderize the meat, it didn't need to soak for more than 30 minutes. Well, being the rule breaker that I am, Rob and I decided it was probably not going to hurt anything if they marinated for a day and a half. We used beef loin and chicken breasts for the protein.
We soaked the bamboo kebab sticks in water for a day as well. Do you need to, don't know. The sound of burning wood sticks in my food didn't sound appealing, so I figured it wouldn't hurt.
Also, make sure to leave some space between the meat and veggies. I put 3 to 4 pieces of meat per kebab and filled it with bell peppers and onions between the meat.
Here's the recipe we used for the marinade.
Oh my gosh!!! These were such a BIG hit! So full of flavor and juicy!
