Don't keep it bottled up...
I know, I know.... I am always talking about stress management right?
Well, today I'm going to talk about the importance of not trying to keep everything in to be strong for others while you are crumbling inside.
If you've been keeping up with my stories on social media, you know that our son has been out of school for 3 weeks, the classes I reach at Carney Park are all cancelled and our daughter's school closed last Tuesday, leaving me to home school 2 kids on my own.
Let me start off by saying I am not a home schooler, I don't want to be and I don't know how y'all do it. This has only solidified my decision that home schooling is not for me! However, we are fortunate to have a very large yard and nice patio for the kids to be outside and burn off some energy during this mandatory home quarantine here in Italy.
Now back to the topic at hand. I had plans to really focus more on my online business during this home quarantine, but home schooling has put a damper on that right now. I don't want to complain to my husband about the stress of my day when he gets home, so I've been keeping it inside. I'm not worried about Coronavirus, our city here in Italy is doing a great job at keeping the grocery stores stocked - yes, we have always had toilet paper. This is not a hoarding society, there is also not the crazy chaos and fighting at stores like I see and hear about in the US.
So this morning when my very organized and clean freak husband asked me to help him re-organize a few cabinets downstairs, I absolutely lost my shit. This was the straw that broke the camel's back! I could not mentally handle one more change. My life has been flipped upside down for the last three weeks!
As explained in this video.....
