Prepping for Ultimate Reset
The one thing many people say when they are getting ready to do the Ultimate Reset is how much stuff they need to buy for the recipes. Fortunately I already have all of the seasonings and liquids (like Mirin, Apple Cider Vinegar, Bragg Liquid Aminos, Red Wine Vinegar, etc.) so I didn't really have to buy much besides the fresh veggies and fruits.
I will be doing a separate blog post about how to do the Ultimate Reset on a budget. The coach I am doing this with wanted to approach the reset with a budget friendly approach to share with others it can be done. She has done a great job documenting her experience, so I want to share her work here as well.
I would say probably one of the hardest things for most people is caffeine. I don't drink it daily, so it's not much of an issue for me. For anyone planning on doing the reset, I recommend that they slowly start to wean away from it before we start. This is why I in my groups, I have an entire week dedicated to prepping for the reset. I teach you other ways to naturally enhance your energy, as well as some times and tricks to reduce headaches and withdrawal symptoms from caffeine.
The next biggest thing is people who don't normally drink water (or enough water). We work on ways to increase your water consumption slowly in the prep week so you don't feel like you're constantly having to pee! I also give tips and tricks on how to make water more fun for those that just don't like to drink water.
If you enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, then this is a program you will absolutely love like I do! I don't find that I am spending any more time in the kitchen than I already do. Although again, I eat many similar meals that are the recipes for the program. I enjoy being in the kitchen, its a very mentally calming place for me. I love experimenting with new foods and flavors and LOVE color! I try to eat from the rainbow every single day! When it comes to grocery shopping, I prefer fresh fruits and veggies and don't mind going to the store every three days to get more. So I don't tend to buy a lot at one time. I believe this also cuts down on wasted food too.
When we talk about prepping, we have to talk about your goodbye pictures and measurements. Many women hate taking these photos and measurements because they aren't comfortable with where they are at. This is one HUGE thing we work on in my private groups - mindset. I want women to accept where they are in their journey, learn to tune into the negative self talk so we can start to change the way we speak to ourselves. Taking these photos and measurements of where we began in the program is important, especially at the end to see how far you came. I personally have not seen anyone go through this program without seeing progress.
During the program, there are supplements to take that help your body gently go through the process to help assist your body in removing toxins, releasing them through the detox pathways and then to help restore the gut biome. As we go through the group, I help to explain each supplement on a deeper level so you truly can understand what is going on. I also give more tips on how we can increase the detoxing process and how to continue it long after we are done with the reset.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Chances are you are probably thinking about doing the reset if you are reading this. If you are not currently working with a Beachbody coach, I would love to help guide you on this program. You don't have to do this alone! I have been in the health, fitness and wellness industry for 20 years and apply my continued studies and knowledge to each of my members so we can understand your body. I like to think of myself as a Health and Wellness SELF management expert. I teach you how to be intuitive with listening to your body and to be the guru of your own body, because no one knows your body better than you. Please message me if you'd like more information on how we can work together!
