The Deputy King, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa recieves Susie Bower, President of American Women's Association

I had the honor to speak with The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on behalf of the President of the American Women's Association, to discuss how AWA can continue to grow and serve our local Bahrain community.

Since joining AWA, I have found a deep passion for helping those in need, for doing work that makes a difference, and inspiring other to take action and serve others. Being the active President for AWA over the past 2 years has been a deep honor and I am blessed by the incredible boards I have worked beside to accomplish so many things these past two years.

When we moved to Bahrain 3 years ago, I KNEW in my heart and soul I was here to make an impact - of course, at the time I didn't know what or how. As my business grows and flourishes (in Bahrain and online) and my service with AWA continues, I'm starting to understand how this it will all work out.

As silly as it might sound, every time I pass a sign or billboard with HRH, I always wave at it and tell him I will see him soon - been doing it for 3 years and IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!

So I encourage anyone who is reading this, if there is something you feel so deep in your bones, DO NOT stop believing it will happen. Even when things get hard and when it doesn't make sense, don't give up on your belief.
